The Best Framer Translation Plugins and Tools in 2026 (Honest Comparison)

Search the Framer Marketplace for "translate" and you will find a dozen plugins that all promise a multilingual site in minutes. They are not the same product. Some translate text layers inside the editor, some translate the published page in the browser, and a few serve each language from its own URL so Google can index it.
We build Lantis, so we are obviously not neutral. We have tried to make this comparison useful anyway: prices come from each tool's pricing page in September 2026, and where a competitor is the better fit, we say so.
First, the question that matters most
Before you compare features, check how the tool serves the translated page:
- Editor translation (translates your layers, you publish the copies): great control, lots of manual work.
- Browser translation (a script swaps the text after the page loads, same URL for every language): fast to set up, but Google only indexes your original language.
- Per-language URLs (native localization or a proxy:
/fr/,/de/withhreflang): this is what makes you rank in other languages.
If search traffic in other languages matters to you, only the third group really counts.

Framer Localization
The native option. Everything stays inside the editor, the hreflang and per-locale paths are handled for you, and nothing can break with a Framer update. Lantis
Our tool. The Lantis plugin is the first result in the Localization category of the Framer Marketplace: paste your site code, click Install, publish. Translation is done with AI (Gemini) and updates every time you publish, with a visual editor to fix any text and a glossary to keep brand names untouched. Connect your domain and each language gets its own URL, hreflang and sitemap.

A good choice if you run several client sites and want one flat plan.
Weglot
The best-known name in website translation, and it works on almost any CMS. Pricing is based on translated words and monthly requests: Starter is €15/month for one language and 10,000 words, Business €29 for three languages and 50,000 words, Pro €79 for five languages and 200,000 words. Editor-only plugins
Plugins that translate text layers inside Framer (or create translated copies of your pages) are useful for a quick draft or a one-off landing page. They do not manage hreflang or keep languages in sync when you edit the original, so they are rarely the right base for a multilingual site you want to grow.
